What "emergency" actually covers

An emergency locksmith call usually means one of a few things: you are locked out of where you need to be, a key broke off in a lock, a lock failed and you cannot get back in, or a security incident requires immediate hardware response. We handle all of these.

What we do not do is pretend every call is an emergency to charge an emergency fee. If you call at noon on a Tuesday and just need a spare key cut, that is not an emergency, and you should not pay emergency rates. We will be straight about which category you are in.

How emergency calls work

You call. We ask what is happening and where. We give you a price range and an estimated arrival window based on where the tech is at that moment. We tell you what to bring (ID, proof of ownership, etc.). We arrive, verify, and start work — confirming the final price before doing anything that is not reversible.

If you are in a genuinely dangerous situation — for example, a child or pet locked in a hot car — call 911 first. They will be on scene faster than any locksmith.

After-hours and what it actually costs

Calls outside standard daytime hours have a different rate. We will tell you that on the phone before driving out. We will not show up and "discover" an after-hours fee at the curb.
